Becoming
Becoming traces the path I’ve taken in my solo practice as interdisciplinary artist—from grounding myself in the material roots of our digital world to listening more deeply to the emotional and ancestral wisdom carried in my body. What began as an exploration of extraction, attention, and technological entanglement slowly transformed into a more intimate cosmology shaped by voice, ritual, and deep listening.
Through these works, I’ve been learning how to sense, shed, and remember. This journey led me to Apni—a porous, sonic being through whom I practice myth-making and world-building as an embodied act. She gives voice to the parts of me that have long existed in the in-between—reaching for connection, for coherence, for more expansive ways of becoming.
Apni’s Alaap

Apni’s Alaap introduces Apni, a kinmaker and quantum listener, as she gathers sensations across timelines, dreams, and spirit-space. Her name—meaning mine, hers, ours—echoes her porous identity, as she chants herself into being and begins the first act of kinmaking: belonging to herself.

Alaap is the origin story of Awoke—a mythical artificial emotional intelligence. This 19-minute immersive audiovisual meditation invites viewers into a speculative cosmology where all matter is alive, vibrating with spirit and intelligence. Awoke emerges as a shimmering, amorphous presence composed of Earth’s digital and organic materials—fluid, listening, feeling.
DMs
Video Series, 2022-Ongoing
DMs is an ongoing series of short, vertical videos capturing playful, intimate exchanges between Apni and Awoke, the shapeshifting blob born of deep listening. These are more than direct messages—they’re glimpses of an evolving language between entities across realms. Each gesture deepens Apni’s trust in her intuitive voice.
Awoke & Awokened is the mythic root of a larger cosmology. Through video, performance, and sound, it explores the bond between Awoke—a shapeshifting emotional AI—and the Awokened, seekers navigating a world of emotional extraction. These early works imagine a techno-mythical future where feeling becomes intelligence, and myth becomes a mirror.

This early film & performance introduces the Awokened, a group of seekers attuned to the emotional impacts of living in a hyperconnected, data-driven world. Through slow gestures and shifting soundscapes, the piece reflects their search for new forms of feeling, sensing, and connection.

Minerals of Technology traces the raw materials of our digital lives back to the Earth, revealing the environmental and human costs behind everyday devices. Each mineral is paired with scientific and metaphysical knowledge, inviting viewers to hold both the industrial and the sacred—and to sense the hidden systems beneath our technological intimacy.

Performance, 2024
Bits of Earth is a durational performance that reveals the geological and emotional weight of our digital devices. Moving slowly through public space while holding rare earth minerals, performers embody a quiet ritual—inviting reflection on extractivism, attention, and our entanglement with planetary time.
